Unable to Retrieve Imported .dcp profile in Lightroom Classic

I am trying to import a .dcp profile (Calibrite Colorchecker Passport 2) to Lightroom Classic on Mac Sonoma and I keep getting a pop up that says the profile cannot be imported because it already exists.  I have spent hours on this issue including following numerous instructions on threads posted here and elsewhere and am at a complete loss.
Any advice? Thanks!

As already said, the error message simply means the profile is already installed. You just have to make it show up. In Develop, click on the profile popup and hit browse at the bottom or click on the four squares to the right of the profile popup. Scroll down to the section where your colorchecker profile might be (typically in User Profiles or "Profiles" but Calibrite might be hiding it somewhere else.) When you find it, hit the small star at the top right of the preview of the profile applied to your image and close the browser. The new profile will now show up in the default list without having to browse for it.

Thank you, Jao, for your reply! Now I cannot open LRC without a ton of pop up boxes saying LRC lacks user permissions. Please see attached as an example of the type of pop up I am seeing. I did research this issue on this community forum and went ahead and ensured all user permissions have been granted to LRC. But under "Files and Folders" LCC is grayed out. Please see attached.  I have tried restarting all relevant programs and my Mac.  Nothing changes. Thanks so much!

in your screenshot, this one (I have cropped and annotated). That ! in a red triangle, I think that indicates files that can't be synced. Are you having an issue with your cloud account? Are you signed in correctly?

How are you trying to use that profile? What steps are you taking in LrC?

If Lightroom says this profile already exists, then it is already imported. You can't import the same profile twice, nor would there be any reason to do that. What makes you think Lightroom cannot be trusted when it says this?
