Question

Unable to Sync 3,097 Images From Within Lightroom Classic

I am running the latest version 12.0.1 of Lightroom Classic.  Each time I open Lightroom Classic and click on the cloud sync icon in the top right of the interface, I am told that it is synching 3.097 images, but I see no decrease in this number after long periods of time. I have a total collection of 19, 130 photos and all synched photos are 15, 453.  I have not been able to find any way to get these 3,097 images to sync with the cloud.  I have 133.7 Gb of 1 Tb storage used on the cloud.  In Lighroom Classic>Preferencs>Lightroom Sync I see a very long list of images that are supposedly uploading.  However, that list does not diminish.  In short I cannot find any way to get these 3,097 unsynched imaes to synch with the cloud.

I would very much appreciae any help anyone can give me. Thank you in advance.

Tom

Hi there, I'll help you figure this out. We need to pinpoint the origin of this issue before we troubleshoot.

Do you use Lightroom on any other devices? What version of the macOS are you working on? Do these sync collections include images that have the originals missing?

  • In the Library Module > Go to the Library menu (top menu) > Select 'Find all missing Photos' & ensure the images in the synced collections are not missing & linked to the originals.
  • Check the images pending sync & apply flags/ratings to these images as a test & let Lightroom sit idle for at least 30-60 minutes to resolve any underlying synce issues.

Let me know how it goes,
Thanks!

Sameer.

Thank you for responding.

I do have Lighroom installed on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, but I have not used it in months. I am using Mac OS Ventura 13.0.  As stated below none of my collections have missing images.

I have checked for missing photos using Library>Find all missing photos and the report is that no photos are missing. According to the Sync icon in the top right of Lightroom Classic I have 198 images now syncing and this number dos not change even when I allow Lighroom Classic to sit idle for an hour or more. I am able to go to Lightroom Classic>Preferences>Sync tab and see that 198 images are uploading and 12 are downloading, but I do not see anyway to apply a flag or rating to these images. To be specific I can see a way to see all of my synched images in Lighroom Classic, but I have not been able to find a way to see all the images that are not synched in Lightroom Classic, which I need to do in order to apply a rating or a flag. Can you please tell me how to do that. If I go to the Adobe Cloud icon in my menu bar, click on it,and select the Cloud Storage icon in the uper right, it reports that file synching is up to date and yet the same icon in the upper right corner of the Lightroom Classic interface still shows 198 photos synching.  Finally, I have a total of 18, 940 photos in Lightroom Classic when I select All Photos, but All Synched Photos reports 15, 367 photos.  I do not know how to see those unsynched photos in Lightroom Classic or how to get them to synch with Creative Cloud.  Please note that I have a total of 1 TB of storage on Creative Cloud of which only 13% is used.  This storage on Creative Cloud is not of much use to me unless I can resolve these synching issues. Again, I appreciate your help.
