When trying to import, I have started receiving a pop-up message "Destination folder""not available."  How do I stop it?

Change the Destination Folder in the Import dialog box (right side, near the top) to a folder that exists.

16 February 2025, The precise message I continue to receive is as follows:

{LrC}  [< the Icon appears and this message:]
The destination folder “” is not available. Using “Pictures” folder instead.  [end of message]

I must click OK to make it go away.  I do not understand stand why this has started.  My normal destination folder is the “Picture” folder located on an external drive.  It appears to indicate the folder is called “”.

I do not know how to stop the pop-up.

dj_paige, my reply to your message below -

Change the Destination Folder in the Import dialog box (right side, near the top) to a folder that exists. [Sorry I do not find an Import dialog box to make a change.]

When you choose to import photos, the import dialog box appears. How do you import photos if there is no import dialog box?

Hi @adobezamm! 👋

Where is the folder you want to import the images to located? Is it on an external hard drive? If so, make sure it's correctly mounted. Did you change the name of the folder recently by any chance?

If you're using Import Presets, could you try setting the Import Preset to "None" and manually selecting the folder?

Thanks a bunch!

Cheers, Alek

Where is the folder you want to import the images to located? [It is on my external drive in a file called “Pictures”]  Is it on an external hard drive? [Yes]   If so, make sure it's correctly mounted. [It is and is functional]  Did you change the name of the folder recently by any chance?  [No]

If you're using Import Presets, could you try setting the Import Preset to "None" and manually selecting the folder?  [I not not using Presets.]
