I'm not sure what has happened but after the last update the program starts bogging down after about 30 minutes of use and you have to restart it to get the functionality back.

Version before was great it flew along, now back to the bad old days of slowdown.

"DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 (32.0.15.6636)"

That graphics driver is two months old. Update to the latest Studio driver here:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/240528/

It may not be the cause of your problem, but updating to the latest driver is always the first step.

I don't think this is the problem. The program starts okay, but as you work over the next 20-30 minutes it becomes agonsiingly slower and slower.

However the drivers have been updated. No chnage to the slowdown

Hey, @Browneye1967. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Thanks for sharing the System info; it helps.

Have you recently updated the OS? If you're on Lightroom - is Sync enabled?

As primary steps, try this:

  • Unplug additional displays & use only one by default.
  • Monitor the Task manager for any unexpected read-and-write operations.
  • Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto. If this shows any differences, please check this article to troubleshoot further: https://adobe.ly/3uYiJo4.
  • Check this detailed response from our Expert: https://adobe.ly/4g6Cb4j

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

  • Only using one display
  • No unexpected read/Write. LRc is the only program running
  • No differecne
  • All of these suggestions were implemented last time the program slowed down

Now another symptom, I can't export pictures anymore. When you try to bring up the export dialogue, it doesn't work.
