Update 11 Incredibly slow

Ever since updating to LrC 11 making adjustments, cropping etc is extremely sluggish. It lags, jitters and takes a few seconds for adjustments to be applied.

I am also havcing problems sycing white balance.
I set one photo to white balance 'as shot' and sync it to others, but then the other photos are set to a white balance they were not shot at??

I'm running an i9-9900k, editing off an NVMe m.2 with 32gb of ddr4 ram so I can assure you its not my hardware thats limiting my performance.

I just downgraded to LrC10.4 and using the develop module is now 10x faster. Thank god I can go back to this version.

When you use sync you copy the actual setting from the most selected image to the target images. So the actual white balance of the most selected image will copy to the target images.

If you select Auto-sync then any function you perform will be carried out to the target images. So if you select As shot then all the target images will be at their As shot white balance.

For one thing, that NVIDIA GPU driver is old, that would be v461.72, at NVIDIA web site, current is v496.76 if using the Game Ready driver, v472.47 if using the more stable Studio driver (Studio drivers supposedly more tested and stable for graphics intense processing such as LrC)

When updating, select Custom update as to force a clean install.

As you are not running 4K, the option to use Graphics processor probably accomplishes little or nothing. You would have to experiment. If your GPU was older, say a 800 series, then that option could actually degrade performance. That issue appears to not affect 1000 series and newer NVIDIA.

Hi there,

We're sorry for the trouble with Lightroom Classic. Would you mind sharing the System Info by going to Lightroom Classic > Help > System Info, copy the information and send it to us.

Please try to install the updated version of Lightroom Classic from the Creative Cloud application and after that restart the computer and then check if that helps.

If the issue persists, try to turn off GPU from the preferences > performance tab> restart the application and check if that helps.
