update 13.4 moved all my photos

Please help. When I opened LR yesterday, most of my 72,000 photos had somehow been moved from hundreds of folders in my catalog into one large folder called All Photographs. See attached jpg. The photos have not been physically moved on my hard drive. They remain in their respective folders and subfolders, but in LR they “appear” to have been moved. This doesn’t seem like the usual unlinking problem since there are no grayed out numbers for the photos that should be in each folder. Instead the many folders in question indicate 0 photos. Also, my edits from the Develop module do appear to be intact.

This all started after auto update to version 13.4. I uninstalled that version and reverted back to 13.3 but the problem persists. I have also tried opening my backup catalogs, but the same thing happens.

How do I return my photos to their proper folders?

Thank you for the replies. I tried the simpler method from DClark064 first. That solved it. Somehow, the show subfolders option had been turned off. I suppose the likely explanation for that is operator error, but I never mess with those settings, so I don't know. The important thing is that the photos are now back in view. And I also now have a second option to try next time something goes wrong similar to this. Thank you JohanElzenga and DClark064.

"All Photographs" has always been in the "Catalog" panel and shows all the photographs in the catalog, regardless of their location. If you check the folders I think you will find your photographs are still there. The reason some folders show zero is that the photographs are in sub-folders and you have not selected to show the number of photos in sub-folders. Take a look in the lowest level folders to see if all your photos are still there. Click the down arrow next to the + to see these options.

It's just a visual glitch. The photos are still where they used to be. Open your catalog folder and delete the 'Catalogname Helper.lrdata' folder. Then start Lightroom Classic. Does that solve it? If not, try resetting the preferences:
