Update Catalog from 11 to 12 fails

Dear Support,

unfortunately, after upgrading LRC from 11.x.x to 12.0.1., updating my catalog to version 12 does fail.

Help is very much appreciated. What can I do? Downgrading to 11.5? I need to open my catalog.

Bring that copy of LrC back up and verify the version. I suspect you have two versions installed and you tried opening the newer catalog with the older LrC version.

Oh, and what comes up if you click on Siehe Technischer Hinweis von Adobe ?

No, only version 12.x.x was installed, that's why LrC automatically tried to convert my catalog from v11 to v12

Anyway, today I tried to open my catalog again. Interesstingly, I did not change anything and the autmatic conversion of my catalog succeeded.
