Updated Lightroom Classic and now won't update masks

For the first time using Lightroom, I have that little red button that says my AI masks need updating. I have tried various ways to update them, including ctrl alt U, and nothing works. It won't copy and paste my workflow suddenly. I deleted the presets and reloaded them and tried again- nothing. I reset preferences- nothing. I have the newest version, updated on 08/05/2024 (version 13-4).  Operating on Windows 10.
