Updated Lightroom does not import RAW files, only mp4

Ok guys, be gentle.  I haven't had a lot of time to learn Lightroom but i have been using it with my T5i for a few years to crop, clean up colors and remove noise and such.  I decided to take the plunge and got a Canon EOS R6 but Lightroom only will recognize mp4 files to import.  My windows 10 photos app can show the photo but Lightroom won't?  I updated EVERYTHING I get with the monthly subscription with Adobe. Still, only mp4 shows up to import.  I am shooting images in RAW only, as i did with my T5i.  Is there a step i'm missing?

The  R6 requires Lightroom-Classic Version 9.2 or higher for the raw files.

Check your LrC version from the MENU: Help > System Info.

Importing files requires a suitable folder destination. Check this in the Import.

Do you see any error messages? Reply quoting word-for word.
