Question

Updates have been disabled for this machine

Adobe Lightroom Classic.

I have looked at this question in these Forums and have followed advice:

  • Deleted AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
  • Renamed AAMUpdaterInventory

My version 11.1 is telling me it needs updating but the above fixes make no difference, even after restarting the machine. Windows 10 Home version 21H1 (OS Build 19043, 1586)

Thank you Axel. I followed those instructions. However, while all of those files exist on my computer, and I was able to put them into compatibility mode, I am unable to run Creative Cloud app itself. It seems to have disappeared from my computer. A couple of days I downloaded it from Adobe however it doesn't appear on my start menu, and if I try to run it from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe absolutely nothing happens.
