Upgrade lightroom 5 to 6 from outside the US

I have a fully registered copy of Lightroom 5 on my computer which is registered to my address outside the US.  I want to upgrade to Lightroom 6 but it comes up with a message saying this product is not available in my area.  I had no problem with the initial installation of Lightroom 5

    johnrellis. I did this but I couldn't get past the first screen when I selected "Licence Upgrade".   I am in Barbados

    I have encounter the same problem, I am located in Trinidad. Adobe only allows an upgrade to LR 6 online via a purchase directly from Adobe website, problem as soon as your computer is recognized that you are located outside of the USA or you do not have a Credit Card available which is with a financial institution located in the USA then it aborts the transaction. If to attempt to purchase the Full application from a third party seller i.e Amazon you encounter the same problem unless you can settle with a Credit Card with a Financial Institution in the USA.

    Where and how are you getting Lightroom 6?  In can be purchased on a disk or downloaded.   People are using it all over the world. 

    FWIW, Lightroom 5 is not upgraded.  When you install Lightroom 6 it will install as a new and separate program.  It will make a copy of the Lightroom 5 catalog and update it to work with 6.

    Try following precisely the steps described in this help article: Download and install Lightroom 6 (Single App license) . If you still get the error message, could you please post a screen shot.  Also, which country are you in?
