Upgrades from iMac t Mac mini an dLost LR6 access

I recently upgraded from my old iMac desktop to a new McMini and in the process did not look where I had kept my LR6 catalog before I tranferred my data to my new system. Now I am not able to even open the old LR6 on my old desktop or my new desktop. How do I find out where I stored it and will it come back once I upgrade probably to LRClassic subscription and the new Photshop Elements 3year upgrade?

I try to open LR but al it does is flash and I am not able to find my files (may have stored them on my external hard drive, but all I can find there is LR5 files, and not LR6 which is the latest version I had.)

Any helpful tips would be great!

You have to find your Lr 6 catalog. I gave instructions using Mac Finder. The new subscription version of Lightroom Classic will not find catalog for you if they are not in the default location.

I would be extremely skeptical about calling that phone number, as it doesn't match any Adobe phone number I can find. People will try to use fake phone numbers, and then when you call, they take over your computer and steal things from you (bank acct numbers, SSNs, passwords, etc.)

Does this mean you transferred your Lr 6 catalog to the new Mac Mini, or not?

To find your catalog file, search for the catalog file using Mac Finder's (or Windows Explorer for anyone reading this with a Windows computer) search feature. You will want to search for all files on all disks in all folders whose file name ends with .LRCAT

Unlikely you will be able to install and run Lr 6 on a new Mac. What is the MacOS version number?

If you install the current version of Lightroom Classic, you should be able to open your Lr 6 catalog.

I'm really not sure if it transferred or not. Everything was automatic and I think it mirrored what was on my Mac desktop to my new desktop. All I can find are LR5 files not the LR6 files which I know I have that version. I haven't used LR in a couple years and I'm just trying to remember if I stored it on an external hard drive which I'm haven't been able to find them.

I am hoping to download the new Lightroom classic version along with the Photoshop elements, and hopefully the Lightroom will be able to find my catalog, hoping that works, but again I have to show it where the point to right? and I don't know exactly where my catalog is...
