Upgrading my PC for Lightroom usage

Hello everyone, first post here so forgive me if I'm doing something wrong.
I am currently in the need of upgrading my PC because it's a bit old and it's a bit sluggish when I use Lightroom.
Here are my specs:
i7 3770
Asrock z77 Pro4

8GB 1855MHz RAM

NVidia GT630 2GB
Kingston SSD.

The problem is: I don't know what to upgrade. Should I just swap the GPU for a newer one in the 10xx series? Or can I stick with my old GT630 and upgrade my CPU to, let's say, a Ryzen 5 2600X (this was the CPU I had in mind but if you have better suggestions please tell)?
Of course if I will be going for the CPU swap I'll have to change my mobo and RAM.

I was originally thinking that just upgrading my GPU to a more recent one (like a 1050Ti) would have solved my issues, but in the help page of Lightroom they advise for 2GBs of GPU NVram for high-end monitors (mine is just FHD), which I already have.

Budget is not an issue, however I would prefer not to build a NASA workstation spending billions.

Thank you very much!

I would get the fastest CPU you can afford, as most of Lightroom speed depends on the CPU. I would also get a 1920x1080 monitor, as going to a 4K monitor seems to be a major cause of slowness (unless you have a top of the line GPU — and don't even think about doing more than a minimum amount brushing or spot healing if you have a 4K monitor). With a 1920x1080 monitor, you don't need a powerful GPU.

Sure would be helpful if you actually describe these "issues", as there can be several causes of slowness.

Thank you very much.
My issues are in editing phase: each regulation like lights, shadows... are slow to apply on the image, resulting in a general slowness of the environment, so I guess it's a CPU-related problem?
I know that in Photoshop there are a few operations that lean on the GPU so you need a more powerful card, but I don't know if that's the case with Lightroom.

I was thinking about getting an i5-7600 with an H270, which has an integrated GPU that's probably better than my dedicated Nvidia GT630, what do you say? Could it solve my issue?

Are you performing a lot of brushing or a lot of spot healing on your photos?

What size is your monitor in pixels (not in inches)?

The i5-7600 gets lower benchmark scores than your present CPU
