Use denoise without raw details enhancer?

Any way to avoid artifacts caused by enhanced raw detail? Or use the new denoise without the raw detail enabled? For some reason I tend to quite often get artifacts such as with this example, please see the attached screenshot. I do really like the denoiser though and would love to use it on images like these.

The raw details thing is integrated into denoise. You can't do one without the other. This looks like that AI wasn't trained with similar images. I can see the ugly artefact you are referring too.

Closest type of image I have to this are fireworks pictures and I can't get enhance to do anything like what you see. Might be specific to the camera sensor. Below image at 200% zoom.

Thank you for the screen capture. It is always helpful if you state exactly what the artifact is, rather than letting us assume we see the same thing you are seeing. Are the artifacts the white dots to the left of the mountains?

Is this related to your other post? You seem to have different type of corruption, and in which I have replied that you are seeing file corruption. I would suspect this might also be file corruption.

This is completely unrelated (atleast, that's my judgement). It's the "oversharpened" lava sparks that I'm considering artifacts, it tends to happen with lava mostly. I've seen it in drone images before as well (different volcano). Likely the algorithm just hasn't been trained on images of the sort.

I agree however the reality is the image has an extreme dynamic range which the camera sensor cannot possibly handle so there are lots of burned out highlights of several areas. They are "sparks" in the explosion of varying sizes that not even the human eye can capture.

Just my humble opinion.

Removing them would be quite a task.

The only setting is the slider taht says "Amount". Perhaps you ahve selected the wrong "Amount". PS: I can't see your screen capture, my web browser refuses to display attached files here. Better to include the screen capture in your reply by clicking on the "Insert Photos" icon.
