Question

Use GPU keeps turning off?

Hi all,

I am having trouble activating my GPU in Lightroom Classic. I have an Intel HD Graphics 4600. System info tells me that the open GL support passes. I have the most recent version of Lightroom Classic, I have the most recent version of my device drivers, yet, every time I open Lightroom, GPU processing is disabled?

Can I please have your help?

Thanks
Tom.

I can confirm what Jim already said: The 4600 is not compatible. However, due to its 'limited' capabilities, you probably wouldn't seen any gain anyway.

Have you tried resetting Lightroom preferences as described in Method 1 in this Adobe help document How to set Lightroom Classic CC preferences

I believe that the Intel graphics processor is basically not compatible with Lightroom. I have an older version of it, and it isn't compatible. I wouldn't worry about it, however. Unless you have a 4K or 5K monitor, a graphics processor isn't going to render much value in Lightroom anyway.
