V12 Import does not work properly

Question

I have imported some photos (only about 12) - it took ages. Then the Library module folder shows no photos although they are there in the folder. The import panel also shows that they there.

I restarted the app - still not there.
I initiated a synchronise folder operation to manually import the photos. Takes ages but finally succeeded.
LR has wonderful features but I've rarely seen such fragile commercial software. Every time I use LR I seem to discover a new bug.

Can you clarify what the two screen captures are? Upper one in folders panel, lower one in import source panel?
