Very slow upload

I have always used lightroom classic and have 4000 plus photos organised perfectly into folders, and all keywords. . I am happy to try the new CC.  I installed the software and selected the all the picture files on my computer. I clicked the plus button in the new lightroom CC. It has been syncing for 3 days and has only done 2 folders. Have I done something wrong or is this normal? I’m going a bit crazy. Can someone please help ???!!!
