Where did the videos come from, such as a phone, action camera, or a pro camera?

Which type of MacBook is it, Intel or M1/M2? Air or Pro?

Which version of Lightroom Classic is it? I think they changed the video code recently, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

The photos came from my canon sl3 camera. I have a macbook air.
I think after I edit in lighroom maybe when i download it to my computer it's to much for it to handle. I wonder if there is a way to make the mp4 smaller before i download it to my computer.

It might be helpful to understand more of what you are trying to do with the videos in the first place. There is very little that you can do in terms of editing video in Lightroom Classic. The macbook air has 8GB of RAM and depending upon how much free space the drive has left it will impact video performance.

This is a bit of a challenge to troubleshoot because the videos play the same in the browser - at least on my laptop. It doesn't appear to be choppy. Are you viewing them in a finder window or QuickTime or other player?
