Watermark Colour Inaccurate / Wrong Hue After Update

Hi everyone,

Looking for some input on this bug or if it has even been reported, I haven't been able to find anyone who has the same issue so far.

Since updating a couple of months ago (I believe to version 11.4 of LR Classic), the hue of the watermarks is no longer accurate. I had to create a new watermark that compensates for the difference in hue by making the watermark a more yellow-orange, as the watermark I use changed from a pure orange to red-orange colour.  As of version 11.5 I still have the same issue.  I was going to update to version 12 soon, but another co-worker updated, and they're now having a similar but opposite issue.

Their watermark is a desaturated burnt orange instead of vibrant red/orange, and unfortunately due to the source watermark already having 100% saturation, I haven't figured out a fix for their banner issue as I can't add enough saturation to compensate for it.

I'm not sure if there are many people who use any colour/hue in their watermarks so it may be an under-reported bug, but I'm hoping there will be a fix for this soon.

Try unchecking the option Preferences > Performance > Use GPU For Export.  Adobe introduced some bugs in watermarks after they changed LR to use the GPU for exporting.  LR 12.0.1 fixes at least one of those bugs.

3 years later and this is still a problem - had to deactive GPU completely to get the accurate orange of my watermark...

These days its: Preferences -> Performance -> Use Graphics Processor: OFF

Thanks for the solution, that fixes it for me while running LR 11.5 so that's great to know!  I'm guessing my co-worker is on 12.0 so I'll see if 12.01 solves it for them and I'll probably give 12.01 a try too, meantime if I stick with 11.5 that is really helpful to know as well.

All the best and thanks again!
