Question

Web module: phone/tablet/computer friendly galleries?

I am using LrC 15.2 and I will use the Web module to make some photo gallery pages.  I would prefer gallery templates that are friendly for phones, tablets, and computers.  For phones and tablets being able to swipe to go to the next or previous photo is convenient.  Are there any templates that can do that?  I already tried the Grid Gallery and Track Gallery and they require touching tiny arrow icons to navigate on a phone.

The Web module was great when Lightroom Classic was introduced in 2007, but what happened since then is that there was a major shift to websites hosted by an online service (Wordpress, Flickr, Zenfolio, Smugmug, Squarespace…and now Adobe Portfolio and Lightroom cloud web galleries). With this shift, self-hosted websites became a much lower priority and that might be a reason the Web module has not gotten much development priority.

I found the LrC Juicebox for Lightroom gallery template:

    exchange.adobe.com/apps/cc/1558/juicebox-for-lightroom

Unfortunately, I get a message that says it is not compatible with my current version 15.2 of LrC.  I sent an email to their support, but no reply yet.

Anyone here using it?  I went to their website and they have an example gallery made with it and on my phone the swiping works.

The version of the application you’ve tried is dated 2017 and most recent reviews complain about it being non functional, etc. So, it may be that the vendor is no longer active.

That is surprising and disappointing. 😮

As you’ve already established, the built-in templates are not particularly iPhone friendly. There was a time (many years back) that third party templates were easy to find, but I’m not sure that many were intended for the iPhone. Nevertheless, you could try a Google search.
