Question

What happens to my edits if I leave Lightroom classic?

I have a bunch of photos on different drives that I want to centralise to LR Mobile.  I need the 1tb plan to do this so was thinking I can do without Lightroom classic, but what happens to all the edits I have applied to the photos in LR Classic?  Do I need to export them all as DNG files with their edits and then import those to LRM?

Your work in LrC (edits, metadata, photobooks, etc.) remain in LrC, and you can use the Library Module completely unrestricted, even after your subscription expires. So after the subscription expires, you can find your photos in LrC, and view the edits and metadata. What does stop working when you subscription expires is the Develop Module, the Map Module, and you will no longer be able to use the Adobe cloud via LrC.

Thanks so much for letting me know, that's a great result.  So I can dip in and out of paying for LRC from month to month if I need/want and not lose anything.  Thanks again.

Wait a second, @shanem68705868 I never said anything like that. Don't jump to conclusions or read things that were not said.

Subscriptions to enable you to use Lightroom Classic are yearly. There is no monthly subscription and if you agree to the yearly subscription (which is the only way to use the fully working LrC), there is a financial penalty for cancelling early before the year ends.
