Question

What's the last version of Lightroom Classic that supports my Windows 10 Pro x64 Workstation?

I have a Dell T3500 Workstation with an Nvidia Quadro 2000 graphics card and 24GB RAM, running Windows 10 pro x64 on a Crucial MX500 SSD. I have installed all the latest firmware and hardware/software updates I could find for Windows, Direct X and my Quadro GFX card.

 I installed LR CC 13.5.1 and it does run but I do get a warning message at startup stating my system is now unsupported. When I go into this version's performance page, the choice to use my Nvidia card is greyed-out.

I'm not expecting miracles but I do want to maximise the performance of my Lightroom rig by running the absolutely last version of LR CC that would have supported my PC and which allows me to use my GFX card's resources.

The more I think about it, your GPU is the problem. It is simply too old. Finding an older version of LrC (even if it was possible) means you won't get most of the benefit of many many many Lightroom Classic enhancements and feature improvements. So what is the point? You can have old LrC that uses the GPU, with fewer useful features (if such a thing is possible) or you can have your  current LrC 13.5.1 with a very old GPU that won't provide any benefit, so you can't use the newer features anyway. I don't see how one is preferable to the other.

On your Windows PC, bring up the Device Manager, look at the Display Adapters. What does yours show? (please post a screenshot)

This error message. It sounds like a lightroom classic system compatibility report screen. Likely related to your integrated video controller on your motherboard. Perhaps related to that old GPU, perhaps to the OS (I think not, but..). Thing is, looking for an example I am finding none.

 

Can you post in a reply a screenshot of that error message?

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

Also, the following link, does it describe that GPU? Appears to be only 1 GB of VRAM, as such, does not meet bare bones minimum requirements in above link:

Your Nvidia Quadro 2000 is almost 14 years old and probably isn't going to be of any use in recent releases of Lightroom Classic, maybe not even useful going all the way back to and including the first version of Lightroom Classic which was Lightroom Classic 7.
