When rating images in LR Classic, I lose my place on the filmstrip

Has anyone had to deal with this? When I am rating images on the film strip in Lightroom classic (Develop tab), by default it will reset my position and push me back to the left side. This is frustrating because it causes me to have to scroll back to the Right to figure out where I left off rating images. Because of this, it slows my workflow.

Does anyone have a solution that will allow you to rate photos and keep your place in the filmstrip to avoid this from happening?
