Question

When will there be an update to 13.3? The new 13.3 is unworkable.

Since updating to 13.3, everything has slowed down to an unworkable situation. Flagging images is even a huge challenge! Plug in to Topaz is crashing. Movement between images in develop & library mode is delayed.

Please advise where adobe is with corrections? Having to roll back to the previous version. Losing work in the process.....

Please post your 'System Info'. This can be obtained from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. Note that the dialog includes a Copy button. Use this to copy the info, then paste same into your next forum post.

There really seems to be an issue with VRAM Usage. LrC usually takes a lot of my main Memory. I do not care as I have 64GB available and never saw LrC use more than 24 of it. So this is fine as I assume they cache a lot in memory.

What is not fine is the overloading of the 12GB VRAM of my 3060 so that even Windows itself starts stuttering. It looks like it is related to all the AI stuff going on as I can reproduce it quite reliable on my system. I have latest LrC and latest nvidia studio drivers installed. Catalog is on a NVME directly connected to the CPU and fast enough. I think Adobe has to balance the VRAM usage better between AI stuff and image rendering. If I switch back to CPU, it is more or less usable. I also saw reports of 24GB VRAM filled versions so I think it is a real bug.

Here is the Link to the thread with similar issues.  <-- you can also find my systeminfos there. I don't want to clutter this thread with duplicated information.

That brings up a question, what do you have in /preferences/performance/

Lots of people report this. One commonality among many of these people is that they have a very old GPU, which can't keep up with the increased GPU load in 13.3. I'm not saying that's what is happening with you, there are other possible causes, but it might be the cause, and you should check. If it is a very old GPU, it is unlikely in my opinion that Adobe will modify the code in 13.3 so old GPUs will work better.

Adobe never comments on future updates, but on average they release a new version every two months.
