Question

which catalogs to delete

With LR open, the top line is ‘Lightroom Catalog-2-v12-v13-v13-3-Adobe Lightroom Classic Library’.  When I go through Edit menu to catalog settings and use ‘show’, I am taken to ‘Lightroom Catalog 2-v12.lrcat-data’. There is a catalog choice in this same explorer folder ‘Lightroom Catalog 2-v13.lrcat-data’. Seems that is most recent but my ‘show’ suggests I am not using it? I am trying to move to a new computer and this has caused a problem. Can anyone explain what is happening, or should happen, what I am to do please? Thank you.

‘Lightroom Catalog 2-v12.lrcat-data’ is not a catalog file, but a data file/folder that belongs to the catalog ‘Lightroom Catalog 2-v12.lrcat’. What Lightroom shows at the top of the main window is your current catalog.

i don’t understand what it is I should do...the catalog settings ‘show’ option is bringing me to something that is not a catalog?! is that happening?

‘Show’ selects the catalog folder, not the catalog file. So if you have several catalog files in this folder (because you upgraded catalogs several times), then ‘Show’ does not tell you what the current catalog is, but the Settings dialog does tell you that.
