White balance + Canon + Lightroom Classic
Hi All
I wonder if you might be able to help me out on some white balancing topics!
I use a Canon R6II and work in Coral Restoration.
I work in two environments - underwater up to on average 14m, and in land based coral nurseries lit by these beasts (https://orphek.com/amazonas-320-watt/).
Both need manual white balancing, which is obviously possible on a Canon, however the resulting images when pulled into Lightroom Classic do not retain the corrected white balance and instead revert to the incorrect version.
I used a Nikon recently and this retains the “preview” in Lightroom and allows you to work the image up. For Canon however when I shoot the WB reference image and upload to Lightroom I can catalog them ok but WB is not retained and I have had to resort to DPP4 to process out color correct images.
I see from some posts that people have created profiles, but I am looking for assistance here.
Charlie
