White grid lines in develop tab full screen mode

Hey guys,

I'm runnig Lightroom Classic V 11.1 on a Macbook Pro M1 Max.

I recently noticed some weird white grid lines appearing once I switch to full screen mode and hit "F" while in the develop tab. You can see them in the top half of the picture looking at the sky. They are very light and hard to see at the first look. I thought there is something wrong with my camera, but the lines disappear once I zoom into the picture. They are also gone after exporting the pics. So I assume it must be some kind of preview problem?

Did anyone else experience this issue?

I dont think there is an issue with the Photo file though. Yesterday evening I donloaded Lightroom (usually I use Lightroom Classic). I didnt seem to have any issue previewing the file there.

I'm pretty sure it's a problem within Lightroom Classic. Maybe its not quite there yet for the new Apple M1 Systems, could that play a role in that?

I imported that file into my LR 11.1 / Mac OS 11.6.2 / Macbook Pro (15", 2019) and didn't see the grid lines on either the built-in display or an EIZO display.

To narrow this down, try this:

1. Remove the photo from LR (without deleting it from disk).

2. Set Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Off.

3. Do Preferences > Performance > Camera Raw Cache Settings > Purge Cache.

4. Restart LR.

5. Import the file.

I also do not see any such lines when I downloaded and viewed the raw. So it isn't in the data, it is likely either a GPU issue or similar.

If you have Photoshop, you might also check before doing anything in Lightroom Classic if it shows up there for you too in Adobe Camera Raw. That would again narrow down the issue which is just showing up on your display.

Select the photo in Library and do Metadata > Save Metadata To File. Then upload the photo and its .xmp sidecar (if it's raw) to Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar and post the sharing link here. We can quickly determine if this is inherent in the photo or something specific to your configuration.

The grid pattern is there. 2 horizontal and 3 vertical lines I can see on my Ipad. They are faint wide lines only visible if I zoom in.

I don't see the lines in your screen capture. Do you when viewing it here?

If you see it but can't capture in the screen capture, first, try disabling GPU in the preferences (Preformance tab). Any better?
If not, recalibrate and build a new ICC display profile, the old one might be corrupted.
If you are using software/hardware for this task, be sure the software is set to build a matrix not LUT profile, Version 2 not Version 4 profile.
If turning OFF GPU works, it's a GPU bug and you need to contact the manufacturer or find out if there's an updated driver for it.
