Why can Lightroom read all the files on SD card but LR Classic can't?

Can anyone with help?

Why can Lightroom read all 300+ files on my SD card but Lightroom Classic only seems to find 2 photos? Last shoot it could read all with no issue but the time before I had the same problem, 500 files on the SD card but only 100 according to LRC.

& when I tried the workaround of uploading the photos to the Cloud via Lightroom it freezes when syncing the photos to Lightroom Classic

Thanks

I have 'solved' it by looking at another thread which said to only upload photo files (no video) via a different folder not directly from SD card and this seems to have worked.  I don't think LRC liked having photo and video files mixed.

What exact version of LrC do you have? The video file issue that you stumbled on was a problem in an earlier (not long ago) version for some.

What is the source of the photos? Camera, file type, add. settings in camera, i.e. compression ....

Any filter active in import?
