Question

Why does LRC print color incorrectly and Photoshop does print correctly?

I use both LRC 11.5 and Photoshop 23.5.1 for printing using a profile for a Red River paper. Using LRC I cannot get an accurate color rendering. Using the same image in PS the colors look correct (in both cases I'm using the same printer profile for the paper). The difference is in PS there is an option in the print dialog called "Black Point Compensation" (which I check) which is not available in LRC. I'm using an iMac running MacOS 12.6 on a Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer.  So I have to conclude the missing "Black Point Compenstion" in LRC is the culprit. I have the latest Canon printer driver and I use the "IJ" version for printing rather than the "Bonjour" version. I have no idea what "Black Point Compensation" is but I would like to see it included with the LRC print module.

No, it isn't  BPC; the two products use it identically and, for that matter, everything to make a print. Something else is wrong, likely with the print template you're using. The two applications will print identically if so set to do so.

Start from scratch and configure a new Print template with all the settings for color management AND the print driver to match Photoshop.
