Why is Lightroom creating a jpg with my dng on import?

I noticed today that I have a jpg with my dng in it's folder. If that comes from a preview of some sort, that is fine. However, I have jpgs dating back to 10-22-24 still there. And I definitely don't need those previews anymore. Am I missing something?

Lightroom does not create a JPG on import, and also not when converting RAW to DNG. Did you perhaps shoot RAW+JPEG?

Dang. You are correct. I had looked at it and didn't notice that I guess I accidentally changed it on 10-22-24. Also, on import, I wasn't seeing any jpgs to select. So, I thought it was being created by Lightroom.

Thanks for your answer.
