  • Why won't Lightroom Classic upload my files to Photoshop unless Photoshop is open?  I'm currently using Lightroom Classic Release 9.2.1 and Photoshop Release 21.1.2

If Photoshop is open it works fine.

Can someone help me solve this problem,

Arnold

Correct answer Arnold Dubin

In Lightroom Classic

under Preferences,

AdditionExternal Editing

Application - I chose Photoshop 2020

It now opens Photoshop 2020 from Lightroom Classic when I want to edit file.

How?

Bring up Preferences. Select the External Editing tab. In the Photoshop panel, is your version of Photoshop what is stated? As in Photoshop 2020, not just Photoshop?

Similarly, if you right click on a photo, and select Edit in Photoshop 2020, does that say Photoshop 2020, or just Photoshop?

Is a Drobo involved?

Or that matter, any NAS?

Even if just for your photos.
