will Lightroom 5, 6, or Lightroom classic app that you pay for monthly work on MacBook pros?

I've heard that these no longer work anymore since an update on the macs occured. Is it all of these or just some or one. Having software issues and may need to get new. I'm wondering what my options are. Thanks
