(Win) Lightroom Classic new hard drive caused licence issue

Hey, I put a second hard drive in my computer that has nothing to do with Adobe. It will be used for backups only. When I opened Lightroom I was told that I could not log in to this device because I am already logged into 2 devices - one of which was this same device by computer name. I had to say log out of one device (which was this device and by computer name) and then I was able to log into what is called 'this device' - an unnamed device. What has adding a new drive to my machine have to do with Adobe and why the confusion on the devices?

Hey, @stephenb22492886. I'll help you figure this out. I've reviewed your account & it all looks normal.

The overactivation dialogue is generated based on NGL logs on your computer. Try this:

  • In the Creative Cloud app, press CTRL + ALT + T (Win) to launch Creative Cloud Troubleshooter & select 'Close Creative Cloud and related processes' > click on Go.
  • Windows - Press Windows + R to open Run Dialogue > enter %TEMP% > Click on OK > Delete any files or folders with 'NGL' in their names.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Sign in to Creative Cloud again and let us know if the error persists.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
