(Windows) Lightroom Classic crashes at masking

I don't know if this is a bug report or what but I brought a new laptop it has what I thought spec wise to get on with editing photos (my first laptop so I'm very new to this) 

The second time I was using Lightroom classic, using masks 4 I think at the time the captor froze on me and went completely split screen full of lines like I had hit the screen turned itself off and restarted and everytime I used masks it would be very glitchy and slow iv sent it back to the seller to have a look and they have said that the problem is with Adobe and not the laptop I don't know what to do about when I get it back how do I fix it please
