Workflow on two computers (Surface Pro/Mac)?

I want to import from an SD card from my camera into a Surface pro to cull them, make minor adjustments and email some of them to people. When I'm all done, I need to get the photos from the Surface Pro to an eternal drive connected to my Mac with my main Catalog.

1. Is there a way to use my Surface Pro to make changes to files, and have those changes synch to my main Catalog on my Mac?

2. Any general tips/workflow advice for what I'm trying to do?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi southwestform,

The best way to Sync your images across all connected devices is to use Lightroom CC and sync images to the cloud. See How to sync Lightroom Classic CC desktop with Lightroom CC

You may refer this article to migrate Lightroom Classic CC catalog to Lightroom CC: Migrate photos and videos from Lightroom Classic CC to Lightroom CC

The above workflow you mentioned  would not work for syncing catalogs(using Lightroom Classic CC) to your Mac from Surface Pro. You could keep your catalog and original images on the external harddrive and then you need to connect it to your Mac.

Lightroom Classic CC can only share a single catalog between multiple computer and the best way to share the catalog is to have it saved on an external driver along with the original images.

That's not the only way to share the catalog, please take a look at this article for more workable techniques: https://photographylife.com/sharing-lightroom-catalog-with-multiple-computers

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,
