working with Nikon RAW files in Lightroom on the new iPad Pro

My question is very specific .. I'm a professional photographer who travels and needs a super portable way to edit raw files from my Nikon D810 .. From what I read, the new Apple iPad Pro will work with Lightroom and will allow me to process the actual raw files, not just the jpeg .. Is this in fact the case ? This will be only reason I will buy the iPad ..

Yes that is the case and has been the case for quite a while now. It is very limited though and lots of features are missing. It can work if your needs a very light and I would currently still recommend a ultra light laptop. I wrote about this workflow on my blog a year ago: Jao's photo blog: A mobile workflow with Lightroom?  If you're interested. Not much has changed since then.
