Only a thought: If you get the error message that the Lichtroom catalog can't be openend because another application has opened it then take a look here:

The Lightroom catalog cannot be opened because another application already has it opened - lrcat.lock (adobe.com)

If it isn't this error please post more informations as @Shivani Somayajula and @GoldingD  has mentioned.

Lost in translation, can you post a scrennshot of the error message?
