Are you referring to shared albums? As far as I know, nothing has changed in the way that shared albums are sorted when viewed online. They are always displayed in the album’s current custom order, or capture date if no custom order has been set.

Using the LrWeb app in a browser window it is possible to reset the current custom order and thus the display order, using one of several options, which include Filename.
