Question

30,000 photos do not sync to iPhone

Hi everyone,

After new Lightroom features I decided to redo all my photos (30,000+) - erase annoying objects, clean etc. I did about 1000 photos a day and noticed that my mobile Lightroom doesn't recreate smart previews - I have a black space instead of my new photos.
I decided to delete and reinstall mobile Lightroom. After connecting and syncing all media it don't show anything but the black rectangles instead photos. It shows the total photos quantity and quantities of photos with last changes correctly, the structure of albums, people - but no single preview of anything. To wait for one smart preview may need an hour or more. Having 30,000+ photos it may work eternally.

Mobile Lightroom v.11.1.0 on iPhone 14.

Lightroom v.9.1 - on Mac there's no problems.

What can be done to accelerate the previews on iPhone?

Thank you!

The same problem with all syncs - the second iPhone, iPad, and even other Mac. The problem seems in Adobe cloud storage - it doesn't sync these days between devices. Any suggestions?

Presumably you edited those 30k images in the Lightroom Desktop app? If so, have you checked the state of the images in the Lightroom Web app? When checking for cause of syncing issues like this it's important to first find out if the issue is between the app where you made the cahnges and the cloud, or is it between the cloud and the Lr Mobile app. Checking via Lr Web will tell us where to start looking for the problem.

When you open the Lr Web app in your browser, first check to see if there is a "Sync Errors" album below '"All Photos". Then check a few of the edited images to verify that you do see the edits that you made. To access the Lr Web app, open lightroom.adobe.com in a browser window and login using your normal Adobe ID credentials.

Report back and we can take it from there.
