Access to photos on my mac

Lightroom does not appear in photo settings unless it explicitly requests access to the Photos Library. Though you gave Lightroom full disk access, it does not create a direct, browsable link to your Apple Photos library from within the Lightroom application. It could be that Lightroom itself hasn't triggered the system prompt to request access. Also, if your Photos Library is stored in iCloud and not downloaded locally, Lightroom might not see the full library unless photos are downloaded.

Could you please tell us the version of Lightroom you're using and the version of your OS? Has this always been the case, or is it a new issue? Did you update Lightroom or your OS recently?

Try these steps out, see if they fix anything.

1) Try importing a photo from the Photos app using:

• File > Add Photos and then navigate to the Photos section in the sidebar.
• If Lightroom tries to access the Photos Library, macOS should prompt you to allow access.

2) If Lightroom never prompts and doesn't appear in the Photos privacy list:

• Open Terminal and run: tccutil reset Photos com.adobe.LightroomClassicCC7
• Replace the bundle ID if you're using a different version of Lightroom, then reopen Lightroom and try accessing Photos again.  You can confirm the exact bundle ID by opening Terminal and running: osascript -e 'id of app "Lightroom"'
