Adaptive Color not applying automatacaly or with update AI settings

I am not using Lightroom Classic, so many of the posts giving fixes do not apply as i am new to photography and the Adobe ecosystem, so not using Classic as i would assume the newer products would be easier to use.

On switching the profile to Adaptice Colour, it is forcing me to manually press the update button on every individual photo. I have tried the (Photo > Update Ai Settings) when selecting multiple photos, but this does not work at all. as you can imagine, this is highly frustrating as the whole app seems to be slow even with all hardware acceleration turned on, so going through hundreds of photos just to click one button before even applying any other edits is frustrating.

I would be cancelling my plan, but magically, there's a £50 cancellation fee.
