Add Photo's disabled

Hi,

I recently installed this for a user at our company who has access to it via Creative Cloud.

After it installed, the + button is disabled as well as the "add photos" in the File menu. Have tried reinstalling to no avail. Interestingly, not sure if its related, but when the user changes the local storage location and then clicks done, it changes itself back when she goes back in to the setting.

Our users have no administrative rights in their computers however have ran the program as administrator and get the same results.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Thanks.

David.

Have you tried setting the local storage to an external drive?

Sorry the delay in replying. The user can change the local storage location but when she goes back in to the setting is has changed back to the default location. The location is:

c:\users\username\appdata\local\adobe\..\data

If the user clicks on browse to this location, it instead reveals the last folder she was in.

What is the location of the local storage? When Lightroom CC adds new photos, it first copies them to the local storage and from there they are uploaded to the cloud. Uploading them directly from the memory card would be far too slow (and impossible if your internet connection is down). It sounds like Lightroom CC may not have permissions to write to the current location of the local storage.
