Hi there,

Sorry that you're getting an error message "Unable to create a directory, don't have permission to save the file "yyy" in the folder "xxx" while trying to add images to Lightroom. Which version of Lightroom are you using? 

To what it seems like, you likely have a permission issue at the drive or folder level. You will need to use the macOS to change the permissions for your User Account for those (and perhaps other) locations. If changing doesn't work you may need to repair your permissions.
