Adobe Color profiles with Samsung S26U Expert Raw 24mpix files are ok, but the 50mpix dng raw file are about 3 stops too dark.

Question

I like to switch the default Samsung Expert Raw profile out for Adobe Color or Adobe Landscape, which has been working fine on S22U and my new S26U 24mpix files.  The Samsung profile works properly at both resolutions, but all of the Adobe standard ones do not on 50mpix dng.

Hi @Bill2176643436dt, Thanks for reaching out to the Lightroom Community Forum! This is a known behavior with Samsung Expert Raw DNG files. The camera profile for these files depends on metadata embedded by Samsung's device (which is not controlled by Adobe). It may be that the 50MP mode embeds different gain tables/exposure defaults than the 24MP mode, causing the brightness discrepancy. As a workaround, manually increase Exposure by ~3 stops or create an import preset. Adobe has communicated this to Samsung so that future Samsung firmware updates may improve the embedded DNG metadata for 50MP capture. ^CH
