ADOBE NEEDS TO FIX LIGHTROOM CC 2019

Can somebody please explain to me why Lightroom CC 2019 has to use 6GB of ram!!! Just opening the program takes 500MB roughly. Not too bad. But heaven forbid I import photos. It topped out today while I was monitoring my task manager at 6300MB (aka 6.15GB). That is just absurd and really shouldn't take that much ram just to import some photos. My computer is total overkill for editing photos for when I go out and have photoshoots and stuff. My specs will be listed below and if anybody could help me with figuring out why its eating so much RAM I would appreciate it. Already looking at throwing another 16GB of ram into my computer just to avoid my PC having to work so hard.

Asus B-450 Prime Mother Board
Crucial Ballistix 16GB RAM 2400 MHz

XFX AMD Radeon RX580 8GB DDR5

I run the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare and other games with less strain on my RAM. Lightroom seems to be my big hitter and figuring out why would be awesome!
