After editing in Photoshop 2021 from Lightroom CC, the file does not update in Lightroom

I have an image open in Lightroom CC. I right click and select Edit in Photoshop 2021.

I make my edits and save the file.

When I go back to LRCC nothing has changed.

When I go back to Photoshop 2021 and look at recents, the amended file is shown there as the newly created .tif file.

When I click on the file it returns, "Cannot open the selected item because the file was not found".

All my software and OS is/are up to date.

I'm using a MacBook Air.

Everything else works fine. No memory issues.
