All edits and presets on Lightroom mobile randomly lost

I went onto the app a few days ago to continue some editing and all of my previous edits were gone. My presets have also disappeared.

 

I use the basic plan (I don't pay for anything) for my cloud storage so I know I have limited space. However, anything that isn't saved to the cloud should be saved locally, so I'm unsure what has happened. It also says I have only used '429.5 MB of 5.0 GB' cloud storage.

 

A few days later, a small group of my edits and presets came back, but not nearly close to everything by any means. I tried restarting lightroom mobile, logging in and out, restarting my phone, trying on Wifi instead of my mobile data, but to no avail.

 

It would be GREATLY appreciated if I could get some help on this please, thanks.

Hey, @Lincoln_Mandaza9123. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I've checked the account you're signed in to the community with, and you currently don't have an active subscription. Have you used any other email address to sign in to Lightroom on your mobile before?

 

If you were logged in to Lightroom mobile with an email account that had an active subscription, the images, edits, and the rest of the data would've synced to the cloud.

 

Do you have any application or manager on the Android device that can clear local caches, a process known as 'device optimization'? Lightroom's data stored locally can not be recovered and may damage existing data.

Hi @Sameer K,

 

Thanks for the response. No I haven't used any other email to sign in before. However, I have used 'sign in with google' and 'sign in with adobe' interchangeably before, but still using the same email and succesfully loggin in. I am not on any subscription, I use the app free.

 

I checked for device optimization features that clear cache and couldn't find any on my device. When going onto the 'Local Storage' section in the app, it says I've got 0.03GB of  'App & user data', 0GB of 'Locally stored albums', 0.02GB of 'Photo cache' and 38.55GB 'Free'.

Thanks for sharing these details. With the free app, we have to rely on the local caches for uninterrupted access. If the local caches are wiped, the data becomes irrecoverable.
