All imported photos show edited

Generally find the IOS version great on my iPad.

One annoyance though, whenever I import photos directly from an SD Card, all the photos show as edited if I use a filter.

I've looked and couldn't that anything is set to apply on import.

Anyone seen this or got any suggestions?
