All original copies stored on hard drive - hard drive is now corrupted... help!

Recently I moved my entire lightroom library to my external hard drive. My Drive corrupted a few days ago. Now when I open Lightroom on my laptop I can see low res versions of all my photos but there is no original source to restore them. I filtered by "error" syncing and most of my photos show up here. Is there a way to access the originals without the original hard drive ?

Hey @Raichlee30818449etkq. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. I've reviewed your account. You have active subscriptions with 210GB utilized on the cloud.

 

Log on to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) & check all the images synced to the cloud. If you've only ever used Lightroom, all the images on Lightroom Cloud should be originals.

 

You can use Lightroom downloader to download all the images with edits from Lightroom Web: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/kb/download-lightroom-photos.html

 

Any images that were not synced to the cloud will be impossible to recover from the cloud. You can try 3rd party recovery software to recover data from the external drive.
