Anyone else having issues with Lightroom (not classic) not keeping ratings when culling?

Question

After opening new photos in Adobe Lightroom (not classic) locally, I rate them.  LR is showing I am rating them 5’s but then when I’m done and I filter on 5’s it is only showing a few of them.  Even if I close LR and reopen it.  This is very frustrating and a big waste of my time.  I have plenty of ram and storage and my reading off of a regular hd, not an SSD. I am so close to jumping ship off the Adobe train.  Anyone help with this. Can’t figure out how to contact Adobe.  Thanks in advance.

​@bookriderI guess standard suggestions would be resetting the preferences and ensuring you have the latest version installed from the Creative Cloud App.Also does it happen on all file types and are you in Cloud or Local mode?Maybe (if you don’t mind people seeing the photos) you could upload a brief video which may help a member of the community or staff point you in the best direction?
